I'm wondering why Blogger is suddenly going SO slow today.
-------
The 2005 Academy Award Nominations will be presented tomorrow and I'm expecting the Aviator, Sideways, and Million Dollar Baby to have numerous nominations. The Aviator is expectedly going to have the most nominations and hopefully Zhang Yimou will be nominated for best director for his incredible job for House of Flying Daggers.
-------
There are a shitload of movies I'm anticipating in 2005 and here are a few choice favorites:

Constantine (dir. Francis Lawrence, star. Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz) The teaser trailer for this film looks stupid but the much cooler and edgier THEATRICAL trailer made me want to watch this film. Can Keanu get out of his Neo persona to portray the dark and emotionally tortured John Constantine? Only watching this film will tell.

Batman Begins (dir. Christopher Nolan, star. Christian Bale, Ken Watanabe) Yes, the last Batman film sucked major ass and only director Nolan can bring Batman back from the dead. The cast is among the best ever assembled for a comic book film (Bale, Watanabe, Neeson, Oldman, Freeman. NEED I SAY MORE?)

Kung Fu Hustle (dir. Stephen Chow, star. Yuen Wah, Stephen Chow) Watching this film on a bootleg just sucks. Hopefully, Sony Pictures Classics will do this film justice and release it WIDE.

Kingdom of Heaven (dir. Ridley Scott, star. Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Irons) The trailer for this film looks amazing and no doubt will this film be nominated for a few Academy Awards in 2006.

War of the Worlds (dir. Steven Spielberg, star. Tom Cruise, Tim Robbins) Spielberg has said that this film will be the costliest ever and here's hoping that the film will as good.

Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (dir. George Lucas, star. Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christiansen) Okay, okay. I hated Episode II (I actually liked Episode I) with a passion but here's hoping Lucas can pull a monkey out of his ass for this one. Can the third time be a charm or mostly a dud?

The Jacket (dir. John Maybury, star. Adrien Brody, Keira Knightley) This film looks fucked up PERIOD.

Films I'm LEAST ANTICIPATING in 2005:

The Dukes of Hazzard (dir. Jay Chandrasekhar, star. Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott)
It looked okay with Knoxville and Scott in the lead roles but then Miss Suck herself, Jessica Simpson, had to spoil it. Why are so many music stars suddenly all these film roles?

Fantastic Four (dir. Tim Story, star. Michael Chiklis, Jessica Alba) Jessica Alba looks so hot in this film it makes me want to just rip off all her clothes and fuck her six ways til' Sunday. BUT, the trailer makes the movie look like shit and the last line of the trailer is really corny ("you know that looked cool") Eh? I thought that looked lame!
