They were the team with all the records.
All the victories.
All the points.
All the best players.
The best offense of the league.
One of the best defenses of the league.

And they came up short.

For a team to go undefeated, to lose in a championship game is simply un-fucking-acceptable.

But yet, the New England Patriots did it. They lost the Super Bowl and after thinking about it after a couple of hours, they deserve the loss. They simply did not have the hunger as they did in the regular season where they were destroying teams by 30 or 40 points.

The New York Giants had that hunger and it was apparent when Eli "Wency Hates Him" Manning got off a sack and threw a hail mary at David Tyree, an unknown player until today. Manning wouldn't let anyone bring him down unlike NFL MVP Tom Brady who kept on getting sacked so much that he was a fucking human grass stain. Brady got sacked so much that at some points of the game, he thought he was getting sacked in the pocket when he wasn't and began rushing.

The Patriots thought that luck would save them at the end (as with all the Bowls they participated in) when Brady began throwing bombs towards Randy Moss.

I gotta give props to the Giants. At least Eli can no longer be blamed for being a pussy. Michael Strahan finally got his Super Bowl ring. They played their hearts out and it showed.

If the Pats played their hearts out, the game would have been a blowout of probably 60-17. But did they play their hearts out? I doubt it. I could already see in the final seconds that Tom Brady was no longer invincible, he was completely human. He was finally average. During the regular season, his eyes showed remarkable intensity and focus, like a predator hunting his prey. But in Super Bowl 42, the intensity and focus were completely gone. Replacing his frozen, focus-induced stare were two red eyes looking tired and bloodshot.

If there was one thing to blame for the Pats' Super Bowl loss, it would be the frickin' Pats' offensive line. They did not protect Brady at all. Something that worked every game in the season completely was torn apart by the Giants' pass-rushers. It was just so sad seeing the best NFL team in years, probably decades, being reduced to shit.

The Pats won all their Super Bowls by 3 points. This time, the margin was still 3 points but it's on the side without the fucking trophy.

In a sports world where perfect seasons are extremely rare, after losing the last one 18-0 don't mean shit.
