Spaced

Just finished the season 1 of Spaced, a TV series from the UK and man, was it hilarious. Words cannot express at how much I love this show. Like the Office, there were only two seasons produced. Ricky Gervais (the co-creator/director of Extras) has said that there WILL be a third season of Extras so I can't wait for that. If you still don't know what this show is about, Shaun of the Dead and the upcoming Hot Fuzz were both created by the actors and director of this hilarious series.

----------

Little Miss Sunshine

The critics were right, this movie is an absolute joy to watch. Alan Arkin (the grandpa) deserves an Academy Award nomination because he was fucking funny. I was laughing so hard near the climax of the film, I was close to tears.

----------

James Kim

This is a bit late but I feel that it's so sad that James Kim died trying to save his family. I don't know why but I really felt sad when they said he died. He seemed like a great guy in his video reviews. Some people had the balls to say he was an idiot for leaving the car but again, they don't know what was happening at that time. I could only imagine that he felt that he failed his family because he couldn't find help for them when in reality, they were found two days before he was.

----------

House

When the final episode of the year, when Tritter (David Morse) says to House, "Merry Christmas," I wanted to tear his fucking balls off, feed them to some dogs, where they will shit the balls, and I would stuff that shit in his mouth. Tritter was mostly an annoyance rather than a threat during the earlier episodes, but in these episodes I wanted to kill Tritter. Man, David Morse is a great actor.

Prison Break

I told my brother to watch Prison Break numerous times before. He would always refuse. "It doesn't interest me," he says. He finally gave in and downloaded seasons one and two and he was fucking addicted. NO ONE can escape the addictiveness of Prison Break. Hell, when this series premiered a year and a half ago, I thought it looked retarded. But look at me, I'm a fucking convert.

The Host

My brother may have only liked it but I absolutely loved it. What am I writing about? The Host, baby! This fucker rocked my fucking socks off. Sure, the visual effects are inconsistent (some shots they look amazing, some look like a high school team made it) but man, the movie is so goddamn good. So good in fact that it's #3 on my best of the year so far list. You people gotta watch this movie!

--------------------

Series year enders:

Prison Break: Amazing all the way to the end. Sure, the final minute was so frickin predictable but the ride there was intense all the way.

Lost: Again, what the fuck happened to Lost? It was so good two years ago (Season 1), now it's not even a shadow of itself. Too many questions and no fucking answers piss me off. Don't tell me that I need patience because that is such cockshit. A serial drama is supposed to develop characters every episode but here the characters just sit around. For example, the flashbacks are supposed to expose more flaws for the characters but they are only there to fill in the time. I think that the writing team just ran out of ideas. I think I'm beginning to hate this goddamn show.

Heroes: God FUCKING damn. Now that is how you end the fucking year!!!! The previous episode was a flashback episode (now that is how you do some flashbacks, Lost) and not only did it push the story further, it developed the characters. Sylar (the villain) turned from a mild mannered watchmaker to some badass motherfucker with some gnarly powers. The painter dude (I don't know his name) found a way to paint without chasing the dragon and Peter got beyond fucked up with his fucked up dreams! If there's one flaw, it's the goddamn Niki storyline. Who the hell wrote her character? She doesn't even have a goddamn power, her power is just having a split personality. If that is really a power then goddamn, we have a lot of fucking heroes in this world saying that Satan is telling them to do shit. Her storyline has veered so off course of the main storyline and it's boring me to death. Thankfully, her storyline wasn't that long. Man, this show is one of the best on TV (aside from PB, Dexter, and House).

Light Grenades

You know, I'm beginning to feel this new album from Incubus. It's beginning to grow on me. Some tracks just piss me off (especially Earth to Bella) but some tracks are pretty good (Oil and Water especially).
