Things haven't been stressful lately since I stopped taking care of Melanie. I think it's not even about Melanie but about her mom, Ellen. I always bring her to the goddamn train station and she doesn't doesn't even pay me for gas. With gas already costing me about $30 a week, she's really a cheap bitch.

My "A Bittersweet Life" DVD came yesterday and I have to say that the film is one of the year's best so far. It's probably my second favorite film of the year after "Batman Begins". I'm hoping to write a review of it tonight with some screenshots.

The Japanese Region 2 "Hero" DVD came for me today from Nicheflix and all the people who said that this DVD had the best picture quality were absolutely right. The picture is much more fluid with bolder colors coupled with sharper details. The sound is also much more refined than the Region 3 Hong Kong version. It's less boomy and more textured.

In other notes, I bought the Nine Inch Nails album "With Teeth" on vinyl yesterday for only $15.99. I'm thinking of converting it to 24-bit/96 khz wav.

Watched the 40-Year Old Virgin on Friday. It was hilarious. So hilarious in fact my head began hurting from all the laughing. It even continued the next day. This is by far the comedy of the year. And I thought Wedding Crashers was funny. What's amazing is that the film doesn't have any dull moments and had an abundant amount of memorable quotes. This film will make you laugh. REALLY HARD. My brother really related to the movie, especially when Andy says to Paul Rudd's character: "I love women, I respect them, it's just that I'm scared to talk to them."

Hey everyone. A lot of stuff has been happening the past couple of hours or so. I saw an incredible film titled "Memories of Murder." I don't know the actors who star in it but it is among the best serial killer films I have ever seen. It's ending is currently burned into my memory. On the note of movies, I think I'll be making that movie blog I've been recently writing about.

In other notes, thanks for everyone who wished me a happy birthday. Thank you to my parents, Felice, Pam, Kat, and my relatives. I got pretty good presents. I think the present I needed the most was the watch that Felice gave me. I've been wanting a watch ever since my blue Timex broke.

Earlier today, my aunt Helen brought my brother, cousin, and I to Giordano's for some pizza. We ordered the large deep dish special. We also ordered some chicken fingers and cheese bread. Then something uncomfortable happened. Sitting right behind Felice and Wency was Michelle. The girl who I had a crush on the past couple of years. I had totally forgotten about her the past couple of months until today. Memories immediately flooded back at the restaurant and my stomach began to hurt like crazy. My mind grew numb while I ate my chicken fingers. How would you feel if you were sitting across a table from the girl who called you a stalker? NOT GOOD. Sad to say but I felt like shit. I wanted to tell Felice and Wency that Michelle was behind them while they were eating but I didn't want it to be obvious. They never knew she was behind them. I only told them when I started the car. It was kinda hilarious because both of them screamed, "What?!!!!" when I told them. Now I can't forget about her again. My God, she was so beautiful. Today's situation was just fortunate enough that she didn't even recognize me with my psoriatic and acne riddled face. Everytime I looked across the table to Felice and Wency I had to look at the TV because I saw her face every time. It was horrible. Everytime I saw her, the word STALKER popped into my head. STALKER STALKER STALKER.

Wency did say something funny on the way home: "You see, that's why I don't want to be in a relationship."

It looks like I haven't updated this baby in a while. I don't know why but I think I should be updating it more. I'm also thinking of creating a movie blog of some sort. Rented a couple of movies lately and copied a couple of films for some people. The latest film I rented was the Korean kung-fu actioner "Arahan" which was quite good I might add. I tried watching the critically acclaimed film "Memories of Murder" but got tired.

I haven't watched a film in a while and I have yet to watch the Island. Recently I read that it's basically a rip-off of a 1979 film titled "Parts: The Clonus Horror" right down to the shots. There are some movies I've been looking forward to and here they are:

The 40-Year Old Virgin (Next week)
The Constant Gardener (September)
A History of Violence (September)
Jarhead (November)
V for Vendetta (November)
The Promise (December)
Munich (December)

And the one I'm most anticipating:

SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE
(DVD in December/January 2006)
