I'm pretty happy about my grades....except for the one I got in Sound Film Production. I got a B-. The teacher said that I ended up with an A- but because of my attendance (which I missed 5 classes) he had to grade down. What a fucker. That class was just a waste of time. I'm pretty happy I got a C in Basic Audio Systems because that class was just so fucking hard. I was shocked to find out I got an A in Audio Production II. I thought my projects weren't good enough but who the fuck cares?

I got a new laptop but the only problem with it is that the OS is Vista and Vista kinda sucks. Everything looks nice BUT it's so hard to get programs to work with Vista. The good things about my laptop is that it has wifi, firewire (YES!), a great sound card, and a built-in webcam. I had to choose between a laptop or the Philippines and my last laptop is already dying so I decided to go with the laptop.

"The Joker's a special case. Some of us feel he may be beyond treatment. In fact, we're not even sure if he can be properly defined as 'insane' . . . We're beginning to think it might be a neurological disorder, similar to Tourette's Syndrome. It's quite possible we may actually be looking at some kind of super-sanity here. A brilliant new modification of human perception. More suited to urban life at the end of the twentieth century. Unlike you and I, the Joker seems to have no control over the sensory information he's receiving from the outside world. He can only cope with that chaotic barrage of input by going with the flow. That's why some days he's a mischievous clown, others a psychopathic killer. He has no real personality. He creates himself each day. He sees himself as the Lord of Misrule, and the world as a theatre of the absurd."

Linkin Park
Minutes to Midnight
Producers: Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin

Okay, I've said I've hated Linkin Park's latest single "What I've Done". I still hate it. After listening to LP's newest album for the nth time, I have to say something. I actually like the album. After listening to the album for the first time, I honestly hated it. But now, I understand what they were going for, instead of intensity they were going for subtle. I think Minutes to Midnight is the album that shows them as a cohesive whole rather than another nu metal band.

If there is only one problem, even though the album shows that their coming more together as a band, none of them ever stick out. There are no great solos and none of the songs give the listener a feeling of being "wowed" but rather one of satisfaction. They never feel to be pushing the envelope but rather staying in a safe place. One example I could give is Radiohead, a UK band that started sounding like Oasis, but are now considered pioneers in the genre because they kept pushing the envelope with every album. Radiohead's 3rd album, Paranoid Android, is still considered the best album of the generation and while they may have lost many fans with obscure albums like Kid A and Amnesiac, both experimental albums are now considered ahead of their time.

If only Linkin Park were able to push themselves, I feel that we could really hear something truly great from them in the near future.

Overall: Satisfying, enjoyable, and entertaining but there's a feeling that Linkin Park could do so much more.

Standout tracks:
Bleed It Out
The Little Things Give You Away
In Pieces
Shadow of the Day (this is certainly going to be a single)

He is vengeance.
He is the night.
He is .

They came and they fucking conquered.

Yes, that is me holding the red baby.

Today's "Heroes" must have been the most awesome piece of television I have seen this year or any other year. I don't know why but I was surprised with every twist. I can't wait for the final three episodes.

It's almost 70 GB in my 300 GB.
And it's gone.
Because I wanted it to be.
I had to erase it because I have wasted so much time on it.
It's time to start anew because I must.

I've only realized that this semester was actually very easy. I just fucked everything up for myself. When I think about it, none of my classes didn't have ANY homework the entire semester. Most of the classes just consisted of labs and group work and I fucked it up. Now I have to play catch-up. I had an 8 page paper assigned at the beginning of the semester (end of January) and it's due Monday. I haven't written anything and I haven't even done shit. My final lab for Audio Production II was assigned three weeks ago and I've only finished step 1 and there's 3 fucking steps left in the lab. Even my final film in Sound Film Production I have to catch up on, even though I'm already half finished.

I can't make up excuses like I live so far from the school because I have classmates that don't even live in the state and they're able to finish everything way before it's due. I really need to focus right now. But I have a problem, I just can't focus. It's like I have ADHD or something. Something is on TV and I have to watch it. Something is on the internet and I must read it. I think I thrive on "no time." I mean that I do my best when something is on the line.

For example, I kept on telling my teacher for Sound Film Production that I had the script, shooting script, and storyboards for my final film ready for him every time I was in class but I kept on saying that I always forgot it. Three weeks later I gave it to him. The problem was that I did EVERYTHING (script, shooting script, and storyboards) the morning I gave it to him. The fortunate thing was that he loved everything I did even though I finished everything five minutes before I turned it in.

I could have finished my finished my 8-page paper if I was on it.
I could have even finished my final lab in AP2 if I was on it.
I could have finished my final film if I was on it like white on rice.
And I could only blame myself for fucking up my final week before final exams.

Hell week. I'm coming.

When I saw the lineup for Lollapalooza a few weeks I went eh. I scanned through it pretty quick and saw Muse, Amy Winehouse, Ben Harper, Pearl Jam......"eh," I thought to myself.
